Regis launches new shipping division »

14 August 2018

Regis Shipping Ltd. has become the latest addition to the Regis Group. The MV Baltic Trader is its first vessel.

The M.V. Baltic Trader will operate along the East Coast and/or West Coast of Africa, as well as the the Indian Ocean islands, for dedicated and project cargo. It is a multipurpose general cargo vessel with a loading capacity of 1200 MT and1300 cubic meters of bulk (approximately 46 x 20 feet containers). This versatile vessel is perfectly suited for its purpose equipped as it is with reefer containers, a side ramp and a 30-ton crane; she is also able to get into low-draft ports as well as operate at anchorages with barging facilities. This will be of great benefit to companies needing a regular shipping service into the northern ports of Mozambique, particularly Palma and Mocímboa da Praia, as well as calling at other ports on inducement.

This new service will add an alternative to road transport and will be of particular advantage to companies operating to and from the recently discovered of gas and oil fields in northern Mozambique.
